Thanks, Susan! Really felt like my past self was articulating something my current self needs to hear. One of the benefits of being a writer of personal narratives, right?
I love this, Marina— those ancient eyes eyes that look strangely contemporary and the encouragement to believe that our individual perspectives count for something. The accumulation of these insights, these hunches, these creative acts, can add up to something larger than we could have anticipated.
Thanks for these beautiful words, Deborah. What a hopeful perspective, that we are building something larger than we could even imagine through the act of showing up over and over.
Ahhhhhh thank you for sharing this with me, I cannot handle how much I love it. The imagery (compost / scraps / wildwood / tree rings) is SO. BEAUTIFUL. Yes please, let's chat about it sometime in the near future, I want to hear more!
Grounding indeed...and a well-timed reminder!

Absolutely!
Thank you for this. I feel inspired to move forward, what is next?
I get stuck in the past.
What a big question. I wonder where your inspiration will lead you - I hear so much curiosity in your words.

These are words that so many of us need to hear

I’ve been noticing digital gardens and decided to make a digital compost heap instead. 🌱🪱🐞
Also these eyes are making me wonder if the “uncanny valley” we have in video games has been a thing for a long time.
Oooo a digital compost heap? I have so many questions 🪱 And I love that uncanny valley parallel - there's nothing new, is there?
Maybe we can chat about it when your thesis is done. 🌱 I’m figuring it out as I go. https://publish.obsidian.md/sarahshotts
